The Roads

The Roads

Slithery, the streets and foot-paths wet,
strolling a hazardous feat as it can get.
Contaminating the clean washed air,
noxious exhaust fumes, grey; choke.

Slippery, is life’s boulevard with ambiguity,
existence’s each day filled with uncertainty.
Tainting the happy joyful voyage;
insecurity, verbal diatribe; strangle.

Flower-filled green dales and valleys,
Dolphins cavorting in gold-sequinned seas;
just in dreams….
Only waken to nightmares of
slithery streets and slippery boulevards.
